Well tonight is a blue moon! An once upon a time kind of time. Do you know that no matter how much I search I cannot find a poem on the blue moon! All other kinds of moons, sure. But not a blue moon in sight. Weird. But I think this poem by Emily Dickinson perfectly articulates the moon's beauty and mystery, and well, that last line suits me fine.
(Ps/ The formatting here has gone a bit awry - apologies - must be a Blue Moon kink in the Blogger software...!)
The Moon - Emily Dickinson
The moon was but a chin of gold
A night or two ago,
And now she turns her perfect face
Upon the world below.
Her forehead is of amplest blond;
Her cheek like beryl stone;
Her eye unto the summer dew
The likest I have known.
Her lips of amber never part;
But what must be the smile
Upon her friend she could bestow
Were such her silver will!
And what a privilege to be
But the remotest star!
For certainly her way might pass
Beside your twinkling door.
Her bonnet is the firmament,
The universe her shoe,
The stars the trinkets at her belt,
Her dimities of blue.
A night or two ago,
And now she turns her perfect face
Upon the world below.
Her forehead is of amplest blond;
Her cheek like beryl stone;
Her eye unto the summer dew
The likest I have known.
Her lips of amber never part;
But what must be the smile
Upon her friend she could bestow
Were such her silver will!
And what a privilege to be
But the remotest star!
For certainly her way might pass
Beside your twinkling door.
Her bonnet is the firmament,
The universe her shoe,
The stars the trinkets at her belt,
Her dimities of blue.

Play the laughter, Pause the memories, Stop the pain, Rewind the happiness.

I was stuck in a nightmare I didn’t create. A former leasing agent never processed my roommate release after I signed the form and completed every step they asked for. I didn’t keep a copy. When I called the landlord later, they said they never received it, that agent no longer worked there, and because they couldn’t verify my side of the story they were going with the original lease. That meant I was still on the hook for a debt my roommate ran up after I was gone. The account went to collections and hit my credit reports. I asked about a pay-for-delete. They said they don’t do that. I asked the landlord to recall the debt. They said once it was in collections, they wouldn’t pull it back. I was trying to rent another apartment and this one item made me look like a deadbeat. I honestly thought I was stuck waiting seven years for it to fall off. Someone recommended Pinnacle Credit Specialist. I reached out, and within a few weeks they had every negative item removed. My scores went to Experian 800, TransUnion 802, and Equifax 804. I just got approved for my first house in the Pacific Northwest — $600k at 6.3%. We did it. If your credit is wrecked by something that isn’t even yours, don’t sit on it. I wish I’d called them sooner. Reach Out to them by email; pinnaclecreditspecialist@gmail.com
