What's the big fuss about Spring?
Here ee cummings explores some of its magic, when the world is 'mud-luscious' and 'puddle wonderful' and spirits hopskotch along (note the structure) and soar like balloons, up, up and away 'wee'.
[in Just-] - ee cummings
in Just-
spring when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame balloonman
whistles far and wee
and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it's
spring
when the world is puddle-wonderful
the queer
old balloonman whistles
far and wee
and bettyandisbel come dancing
from hop-scotch and jump-rope and
it's
spring
and
the
goat-footed
balloonMan whistles
far
and
wee
I was walking in the woods yesterday after 2 days of rain. the sun was finally shining and spring had suddenly turned everything that stunning new green. This poem came to my mind.
